           Description
  The Agnes Cowan Hostel provides accomodations for out-of-town patients who require diagnostic and speciality services available only in St. John's. The Hostel is located in the same complex as the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, the General Hospital and the Janeway Children's Hospital, but will also accommodate families of patients at St. Clare's Hospital. The Hostel is operated by the General Hospital Hostel Association.

                  Details Reservations are usually required 2 weeks in advance but the Hostel will make every effort to accomodate emergency need. While staying in the hostel, guests have access to telephones in each room, kitchens and lounge areas, parking and weekly housekeeping service. Regular fees apply to all services which hostel guests can access, including the hospital cafeteria, gift shop, vending machines. Pastoral care is available upon request. The hostel also provides city bus schedules.

                  Details The hostel is designed for outpatients and families receiving health care at the General or St. Clare's Hospitals. Janeway rooms are reserved for families of children receiving care at the Janeway Children's Hospital. The Hostel has 118 rooms of which six are designed for small families and 10 for those who use a wheelchair.
